Shakira, her boyfriend and their two children Milan and Sasha Piqué went to Shakira's hometown, Barranquilla, for a brief post-Christmas visit. It was the first time Shakira's boyfriend went to Colombia, and it was also the first time for her youngest son, Sasha.

Before being with Piqué, she was living in Miami with her former asshole of a boyfriend. Before that, she was in the Bahamas. She hasn't lived in Colombia in more than a decade and she doesn't visit that much. Before this, she went to open a school in 2014 with her first kid and then to film La Bicicleta in 2016.

Idk, PQ doesn't get a lot of vacation time and Shakira has been working in her home studio in Barcelona for most of last year, plus her kids going to school, and I imagine it must be a logistical hassle to go to Barranquilla.

TBH I don't think any Latin American star's homebase is their country. I feel like she was living on some random Caribbean island and she had a house in Miami (but literally every Latin American star does).
