I think they do it pretty well. Every case is different. Carrie is her own brand of cray.

I gave up on this show after season 2 so idk what it's like recently, but the way it's portrayed in the earlier seasons is generally way less gross than that plot blurb in the post (like "despite being bipolar," what???). it still edged pretty close to a cheap "character flaw" approach in those earlier episodes tho.

Same haha that scene in the gas tank was like watching Ned stark being led to his execution - couldn't believe it was happening and was soooo relieved when we saw him in hospital at the end.

Feels like it's been forever, but I am ready to get back into this show. Carrie catches a lot of shit, but she's a dynamic character and I love the way Claire plays her.
