I agree, I would have preferred 10 tight episodes, but if they can make it work, 12 is good too.

Adding an OC from the tv series to the comics canon is cool but not unheard of. What's unheard of is an actor from the show gets to write the comics lore. Amazing how did that happen? Was Tim a writer or something?

Kwerkee! I feel like we haven't spoken in ages!

It really is weird and cool, I tried looking but couldn't find anything about how it came about, I'm not aware of Tim having any previous writing experience, his IMDb doesn't have anything under writing.

Miss talking to you but I've been busy. Barely have time for TV. Urgh, will be remedied soon I hope. There are a few new shows I'm curious about.

The fact that the comics people reached out to Tim, makes me think they enjoy and approve of the show. Other shows are barely acknowledged by the respective comic writers. I'm proud of them.

Busy good I hope, I also hope you have some free time (for tv viewing of course). What new shows are you interested in?

Beau Smith (the comic creator) was involved with the casting and has incorporated things from the show into the new comics (starting from Wynonna being a brunette instead of a blond, then incorporating characters since 90% of the characters on the show aren't in the comics) and he's spoken very highly about the show and says they've elevated his material, plus he keeps going with them to comic con and tells them they can use any character from his comics. I'm very proud of the show too.

She is and she just liked my pic on instagram! But she is so humble and sweet and beautiful. I did ask Emily about bringing more diversity for WOC during the panel and she said she is going to do better, which was encouraging.

Awww, that's amazing and I'm happy to hear how great she is. I'm glad you asked Emily that, I truly hope she adds more WoC and that they're not killed off in two episodes or something. I think she's a showrunner that does listen and learn, so we'll see.

I was thinking of dremilymouse or whatever her nick is, I know her through Twitter and Tumblr, sharing everything about this show.

I need to look up her Tumblr then, seems like she's doing the good work in spreading the word.

I watched to Shamier's video and forgot anything I wanted to say. Thank you. LMAO

But actually, am I terrible for thinking the 12 ep order is because SyFy doesn't think they'll renew? I'm a pessimist that pretends to be optimistic, sorry :(

LMAO which is why I made sure to put it absolutely last, to not distract everyone from the rest of the post. Oh well.

I dunno, what would the extra two episodes give them? You can wrap up a show with 10 episodes and this isn't even their lowest rated show they've renewed. I think it actually shows SyFy believing in them, because this is giving them more money for more episodes. I assumed the original cut back to ten episodes was to make it more cost efficient, since it is a low rated show.I'm a pessimist too, so don't worry about being an Eeyore, I'm the same.

I don't know why I thought negatively immediately, expanded ep count is usually good news.

Must be my lack of trust with SyFy, lol.

Well, they expanded Dominion for S2 and then it was cancelled, but the move and low ratings probably had to do with it, rather than them deciding it was it in advance. I think SyFy are aware out of all their shows, this has the most online following and buzz, I dunno why they suddenly decided to expand it, but like I said, that's throwing away money on a low rated show, if they were already planning on cancelling it, they would have kept it at ten episodes and hopefully given the writers a heads up to tie up loose ends. I don't trust SyFy either, but in this case, I think it's a show of faith.
