[Spoiler (click to open)]I hate Coleman and Rachel's mum and I hate how this season presents medication and being medicated. Not that Rachel is taking a healthy amount but it all seems very anti-drugs to me which is so dangerous. Like, Mary died because they messed with her meds.
Didn't watch last night's ep but damn this show went downhill fast. WTF happened? They destroyed the relationships too quickly. I hate that Rachel and Quinn are at odds. It's feels counterintuitive.
I thought someone mentioned in another post that Lifetime had the eps online and they didn't require authentication to view. It's worth a shot (especially if you're in the US).
Sarah Shapiro is clearly awful and has no idea what to do with the show. It's gone completely off the rails. You can tell she has no experience show running. There is very little build up to the hard hitting plots. I feel like this show thinks we need those OMG moment every episode but that's not what made this show work in the first season. The dynamic between Quinn and Rachel is what made it tick. The chaos surrounding them and that they causedo made it better. We also cared about those causing and in the chaos. I still have zero fucks to give about Darius and most of the contestants.
It's telling that the episodes that worked the best were the ones with the Quinn-Rachel relationship front and center. Its telling that the most cohesive episode was the one Marti Noxon had a hand in (1st ep) All told it's been a real quick turn from S1 to S2. Must have gone to the Ryan Murphy school of writing.
This is reminding me of when Revenge went completely off the rails for its second season and seemingly forgot all the things that made it good in the first place.
