[Spoiler (click to open)]I hate Coleman and Rachel's mum and I hate how this season presents medication and being medicated. Not that Rachel is taking a healthy amount but it all seems very anti-drugs to me which is so dangerous. Like, Mary died because they messed with her meds.
lol I'm kinda over this show now and their barely there BLM storyline. like, Romeo was shot and we get no update on him, Darius apparently had the surgery but offscreen. ruby showed up to... send Darius back to the show? if they'd bother to have us care about the contestants this season then maybe the time spent with them wouldn't feel so forced like I barely remembered the cop's name.
also I knew hot Rachel was a journalist but that also annoys me a little because I hate that idea of the female journalist who sleeps with people to get info like that's never a thing with dudes in tv or movies. plus, wouldn't they have done a background check?
and that preview with Rachel wanting back in I swear she wants back in every 4 episodes
lastly: why does the show insist on acting like everlasting is shot the same week an episode airs? like I don't think it did that in season 1. is it because if it were any other way the show would've been shut down halfway through production?

Right? I rolled my eyes because of course. It's such a gross trope.
I've been iffy on this season and after the police shooting episode, I don't know if I want to continue. I don't like the 'journalist sleeps with subject for intel' shit or the mental health shit. Not to mention, they are clearly going to completely drop the ball on the racism/police brutality storyline. This is not subject matter this show can do well.
Yeah it really bothers me when shows present being on medication like that. They did the same thing in the one Ryan Reynolds movie where he talked to the dog and cat. Everything was bright and cheerful when he was off the drugs and his pets talked, but when he took his meds then everything was depressing and drab and just more realistic.
While I know Rachel needs meds, I definitely feel like Rachel's mom over does it with the drugs to keep Rachel groggy to her liking. She's a vile woman though and I would have moved far far far away from her if I was Rachel.
I thought parents aren't allowed to treat their children...like this story line makes me crazy. I mean parents do it but its fucked up. My dad dated someone who tried to get me on medication even though she wasn't treating me and I thought my actual therapist was like that is against the rules I guess those are separate things but Rachel needs help but not from her mother.
