Thanks. I was having trouble with the cut, (all my cut text vanished the first attempt), and was trying to fix it as you emailed. I think it is OK now. But it has completely scrambled my text fonts. It doesn't matter so much here, but will do for A New Dawn. Ever since they upgraded the posting editor I've been having this problem.

Great comments. I was wanting to hear your take on this.

Agree with just about everything you say. I think Rex being made immoral is the biggest FU to TW fans ever. It makes no sense on any level.

I agree with you about sidelining Jack, Makes so much sense now that Rex is immortal.

I am with you , no JB no TW. If Rex is now the main character I will not be watching full stop. And it makes a lot of JB comments about hey 'there would be no TW with out JB, right? (can almost hear the edge of desperation. I am going to email his web site and tell him that.

This series was so bad but gives me hope that I can make it as a writer if this is the standard expected, Wow I really might have a future. (so something good did come out of the s**t fest farcial mess.

Loved your five year later cut!

Yeah I have issues with LJ what i do is post chapter fanfic first. Then post to Dreamwidth and cross post. Works every time.

Have had major issues with LJ since their update.

Regards

I wouldn't have a problem with having Rex as a continuing character, as long as Jack was still the focus. But you don't need a second immortal character for that.

RTD has sewn the seeds of mistrust with many fans, by his previous actions, so it just makes me very suspicious.

Of course it could turn out that Rex's immortality is temporary and it's just going to give him some interesting insights into Jack. That would be OK.

I managed to post A New Dawn #10 by posting on ff.net, then cutting and pasting it from there with the LJ formatting off. I still have major issues though. I can't add the links to the recent chapter to older ones, because if I edit anything they get messed up.

If I was honest my problem with Rex is with him as the lead. I do not wish to watch any more of him as the main focus. If he is the main lead I will not be watching. If there is TW produced where Jack is back as the main lead and the stroy is competent I would be happy to watch ( ... )

I agree with you. No JB, I'm gone. I like Gwen but I've never felt that she could carry the show and I don't really care for Rex. There were a lot of different things that didn't make sense but it's a tv show not a documentary.

I really want them to do another, with Jack as the star. I think Torchwood is the best thing JB does and want to see more of him in it.

I'd be willing to live with loads of plot holes for that.

It's just a bit frustrating that a writer who can drop subtle hints through a whole series (e.g. Bad Wolf) can appear to be giving subtle hints that Jack is a later Jack, and it turns out they were all errors.

It's pretty much as everyone thought at the start.
Jack dies to sort the Miracle and then gets his immortality back. They didn't half beat about the bush though.

I will say this, I did sort of expect Jack to survive. I mean, if "flipping the switch" that turned the rest of humanity immortal had made him mortal, than it made sense he would switch back when it flipped again. And the fact that he was already dead didn't matter -- after all, he was already dead when he was first made immortal. Unlike the rest of humanity after MD, he always died first and then came back. He didn't just survive without necessary organs like the others ( ... )

Gwen must have thought that Jack was permanently dead, since she was going to leave him down there ( ... )
