It seems that due to the recent events, members of the guard have requested to meet with me tomorrow. I suppose they must eliminate all those associated with the clinic and Inui from the suspect list. Still, it seems such a hassle

Let's leave it at that we were together, and that I was helping you study for your anatomy exam.

All I can tell you is what you already know. Unfortunately, not being part of an investigative squad means that I am not privy to informal details of the investigation. All I have heard is that there may have been suspicious goings-on at the clinic. Beyond that, I know nothing.

Together and studying anatomy were we? Well not all lies, but certainly not very subtle.

I know that Inui likes his research but I never thought it would lead him into questionable territory. I wonder if that's what this might be about.

Studying in general, at least. At any rate, I am not the only member of the family that can vouch for you being with us.

It's possible. I have heard him referred to as a sort of mad scientist...though whether it's simply misinterpretation of his enthusiasm and peculiar methods, or that he really was mad, I cannot say.

I admit, I am curious, at least where it concerns you.

Perhaps a vague 'I was at the Tezuka's and I'm sure anyone in their family can vouch for me' will be sufficient. You and your grandfather are well respected in the guard.

I have heard that, too. But his clinic always looked quite normal. If he was doing any unorthodox research it wasn't in any of the areas I was allowed in.

Is it true that he had a wife who was mad who he was keeping in the basement? I heard that in the market.
