...in which the snow can't keep me and Katy from our Lo Mein.

Well, it snowed like hell yesterday!  I didn't take as many pictures as I probably should have, but I have a few, which I'm gonna put under a cut so I don't flood your Friends Pages with them.  Katy and I had an adventure, and then Jeannie had an adventure (I didn't realize this 'til I tried to follow her footprints this morning, or there would be ( Read more... )

Oh, yes, I was powerfully bundled up. I take no chances with the cold.

that's good to hear.
i'm not a fan of the cold, myself. i often look a bit overdresse, but i'd rather have on too many sweaters and scarves than not enough.

Yeah, I try to wear enough clothes that, even it's zero outside, I can still be warm. I look like a Weeble in really cold weather.

Pssh. You call that snow? I wish I had taken pictures last night. We had snow. Actually, we still have most of it, as the temperature never rose above 21 degrees Fahrenheit today. I'll try to snap some pictures later, if I remember and feel like it.

Pretty pictures.

We had 6" at the radio station -- a foot on top of Back Mtn. 10" on top of Droop. 8" at Snowshoe. 6" on top of my car. It was a good time.

So, I'm gonna assume these were both you...
I don't need that much snow. Once it's on the ground I kidna lose interest. I just like it while it's falling. This was about right, but today it was on my nerves and I'm ready for it to melt now.

That's weird. I was mad that I didn't copy it before I hit "post" or whatever, because it "didn't post." But it did post. But anonymously. Your journal is haunted.

Oooh, a haunted journal. I wonder if I could get on some TV show and make a little money off that. 'Cause, man, I could use it.

During a big snowstorm you chose to drive down 4 1/2 alley? You KNEW that hadn't been treated yet. Hope Happy Dragon was worth it.

Well, I live in the alley, so part of the way we had to drive there. Also, the main streets hadn't been treated yet, either, so the alleys were actually a bit safer, since there was no one else in them.
Good guess on the restaurant, too, since Happy Dragon is the closest to me, but we went to China Garden instead. And yes, it was very much worth it.

Hell, you probably live in my friend Rebecca's old apartment. Or near there. But wait a minute. The weather is shit. The proper roads haven't even been treated. And you get a jones for Chinese. Why bypass the nearest restaurant? Do you just like driving on ice when you could have walked to Happy Dragon?

Well, see, Happy Dragon has things they do well, but we don't care for their Lo Mein, and Lo Mein was what we were really jonesin' for. So it had to be China Garden.
