Chapter Twelve
The world ended on a Tuesday, but it was only an end of an era. The damage had been done, and the revolving doors of change had been set into motion only to reveal a new direction. The world stopped, dead in its tracks, but life continued heedless of the obstacles. Caught in the ever-constant shuffling of renewal, those people remaining struggled along, limping and then walking and then running and leaping and laughing as the new became familiar and the frightening became home.
When the end became a beginning and the beginning became a whole new story to be explored and cherished, the participants tagged along with wide eyes and high expectations. Their only choice was to face the unknown and be brave. They had a story to live out, a destiny to achieve. It wasn’t with dread and regret that they looked to the future. It was with faith and courage and an eagerness only a new beginning could ever hope to garner.
