LOL! I love how Dawn totally has Spike's number and can't resist.

Poor Xander! Being a single parent trying to support Dawn and patrolling the HM, he must be exhausted.

Having Spike around should definitely make some things easier and much harder for Xander.

Yay - step by step they'll be growing closer without realizing it. I love fics like this where it takes a bit of time for them to realize their mutual attraction given that there was so little of it in canon.

Looking to the small woman at his side I don't think you could really classify Dawn as a woman in S6 as she was 15 or so. And if this fic goes on for a while (which I do hope it does) you might have to mention Dawn's growth spurt - Michelle ended up towering over SMG.

I like the occasional [ok more than occasional] smut between the two, but sometimes you want to see the whole relationship, not just the end, y'know?

Thanks so much for the clarification on Dawn, I couldn't remember off the top of my head how old she was in S6, so I pretty much guessed lol.

I don't know if ME stated how old Dawn was - I think we fans guessed from what grade she was in. Whatever her exact age she was young enough to need a guardian and supervision from Social Services in the person of Ms Kroger.

I vaguely remember an episode where Dawn says she doesn't need a baby sitter, she's "fifteen, mom"... Or that could have been a really good fan fic. lol.

Either way I think I'm going to use poetic licence and say she's 15 (whether she was supposed to be or not). Originally had it in my head that she was close to 17, but 15 works for plot bunnies waaay more.
