Part I: Upside Down... Again
Part II: Breaking

Sequal to Breaking
So this wasn't the direction I was planning on taking it...
It's also shorter than I intended but oh well.
Oh and any concrit on this one would be great, I'm not too sure about it.

He should have said no. He could feel the knife twisting in his gut even as he blurted out his acceptance. He should have just said no.

How was he supposed to be civil, hell, more than civil considering it was a date, to a man who thought of him as nothing more than a casual fling? He should have said no, but he couldn’t. Call him a masochist, or just head over heels, painfully, agonisingly, in love, but he couldn’t deny Jack when he had that look in his eyes. He knew that ‘that look’ was something the captain had perfected over years just to get his most recent fascination into bed, but that didn’t mean it didn’t burn a hole right into his soul.

He needed help, he needed to get out, he needed Jack. No matter what he thought about, what he did, it always came back to that man. Even when he was still stinging over the captain’s abrupt departure, even when John was a fresh reminder that Ianto was just another notch in Jack’s bedpost, he couldn’t help needing him more than he needed oxygen.

A small part of him refused to smother the flame of hope when he saw the grin on Jack’s face bloom as he agreed. However, it was almost completely drowned out by his cynicism. Jack didn’t need him like he needed Jack. Jack would never need him like that, would never betray the memory of someone he loved because he couldn’t turn his back on the man who had ordered her execution. He could never stop loving a murderer.

And it was killing him.
