[Envy has been running around Ecruteak looking for everyone since earlier that day when the first people started getting their souls stolen. And he just so happens to be passing by the 'Mart to see France lying unconscious on the ground. If Envy has ever panicked before he is panicking now. He also doesn't really register Marianne right away because he is too busy having a heart attack, and starts hurrying towards France.]

France! Hey!

[Marianne turns her head towards Envy at the shout, red eyes flashing and a definite manic look to her. She rears up, positively roaring before sending a Flamethrower towards Envy.]

[Envy just barely manages to get out of the way of that by diving to the side.]

[But he's pushing himself up again in a moment, looking more wary but still very much wanting to get to France.] The hell was that for?! Let me over there!

[ Well, here's a chill Charmeleon to match your pissed one. Orange's trainer hasn't been stolen by Shedinja -- rather, the kid just doesn't see anything wrong with letting his Pokemon run around with the 'gear.

The most shocking bit is that this hasn't backfired yet. ]

[Louis turns the 'Gear fully back to himself, making a grumbling noise.]

He just collapsed! I'm hungry and he needs to wake up so he can feed me!

[ He considers this for a minute. ]

Mine did that for a while, but it was in one of the red buildings, the healing places. The humans there fed us.

Maybe you can get someone to open the food until he wakes up.

[Louis makes a face of utter disgust.]

That food is horrible! It's so common and utterly unfit for someone like me. I only like my human's food.

[Romano had grown tired of waiting around for France and took to wandering the streets, as usual. He was nervous about the occasional bits of news over the feed, but he hardly thought it would affect him in the least. There were a lot of things he hardly believed would happen to him.

Seeing France's prone form on the ground shook him more than he cared to express. It was too similar, he thought, to another occasion, when someone else he knew fell into unconsciousness. Unaware of Marianne, Romano runs towards France as fast as his legs can carry him.]

[Marianne rears up, snarling and ready to attack, but she recognizes Romano in time. The small human that France takes care of, somewhat akin to a pup. Marianne is even a little fond of Romano, despite the boy's attitude... She supposes she can let him approach, lying back down on top of France slowly, watching Romano closely.]

[Not for the first time, Romano finds himself at a complete loss. He paces around France, once in a while glancing towards Marianne. By the time he noticed her, he was far too concerned with saving France than to give his own fears a thought. ...Perhaps he should try talking to her...]

[Marianne gives Romano look that communicates she thinks him fairly dull: she can't speak human. Even so, she uses her right forepaw to pat a place next to France's body, maintaining that insulting expression.]
