  • Those new Liverpool away kits are so fucking misguided. I understand the retro aesthetic, but if we're going retro, why not actually do like, mid-1970s throwback? WHY GIVE US THE FUCKING 1989 AWAY KIT??? (Especially since it doesn't also come with the Candy sponsor!!)

Fucking kits, they never get them right.

Oh JAR. You could invoke such polemic discussions of your worth sometimes but nobody could say you didn't give your all in the past. Definitely left a lasting footprint/thigh...print. I think he could have maybe done better, theoretically, than Roma though, they are a nasty side. But this is an industry that values youth so...eh.

I disapprove in general of all (football) jerseys. My 07/08 Valencia away jersey came today and they're so orange. I gotta say though I've never had a Nike-made jersey so I think they're a lot more interesting with the details (than Adidas). Still like the three stripes better though.

And yeah, the Liverpool jerseys are made of such fail. Bah my Carra jersey will have to wait for maybe next season. Unless retro jerseys cost less than 100€. Highly unlikely.

I did not know you had ordered one of those hideous orange things! Were they on clearance or something??? I have a sexy black away shirt from 06/07 that I plan on wearing ... tomorrow, maybe. Haha. I still want an Albelda shirt and I feel terrible for not getting one while I was in Valencia, since he's trying to leave the club. :((

I agree with Adidas being more iconic, but Nike having the better designs nowadays (although that Total 90 circle shit design in ... 2006? was awful).

Unless retro jerseys cost less than 100€.
THEY SHOULD COST LESS FOR THE SIMPLE FACT THAT THEY'RE FUGGERS. Looking forward to seeing Torres trying to bring shit-grey back into fashion though.

They were sort of on clearance. I ordered a home one, and then they said it was out in my size. But if I walk home in the dark I won't get run over. Road safety, A+.

ADIDAS LOOK THE SAME. It's all, um, is that a Meelan jersey Casillas is wearing there? Nike does too but yeah they have writing on the collar and random little like, comment-y things in places you would never expect that are team specific at least.

Ahhh I always regret not buying jerseys of people who've left. It's stupid to get a recent jersey in some player who didn't play there that season. (I saw a guy with a 06/07 Real jersey at a match with 'Puskas', mate, who're you fooling?.)

Dude even people who I just recently introduced to Liverpool and/or Spain NT thinks Torres looks like a princess. He'll probably pull it off. Ugh. He played for the wrong Madrid team before he moved to Anfield, I just still can't think of him in that orgasmic way the other pool fans here do.

Haha and you can always go as a road pylon for Halloween?

I have until mid-July, at least, to get an Albelda shirt before he becomes obsolete. :(

I'm still getting used to not hating Torres on the pitch, but I still find him wormy looking off it. That much is comforting!

the away kit was designed by chickens kept in the dark to give birth everyday. yes.

i will never forget anything he has done. even stripping in stamford bridge after the first semi, when we all saw his tasteful, grey panties.

also, there are more single women in rome for him to text! and i hope his hair looks good with the maroon, except he's always trying to escape his gingerosity.

Hahaha yes, he was always fun to watch. And those penalty kicks in 05 and 06, it's good to know that he left having tasted glory at this club, because he deserves it.

I just read his first interview for Roma and either the language barrier or his, like, complete and utter disorientation is leading him to babble. Poor man, I suppose he just doesn't know how to say, "Uh, want money?" And the pasta.

[Although it is a little weird to think of anyone going to Roma for the money, with their debt issues and continual on-off negotiations for a billionaire takeover. I wonder how much that goal hurt his chances of being picked off by a top-tier - by which I mean ex-G14, I suppose - CL team.]

    Oh man, that's too great.

(I don't know if it's the own-goal, exactly. Do you think he'll get constant first-team football at Roma?)

Max Tonetto was a beast in spots, but he's 33, and I haven't seen much of their other LB option. The Roma blogs seem to think he'll start out as a squad player, but I don't know -- at least in the CL he should be out there gelling with the team right from the start, because I think that specifically English experience is what Roma went looking for.

Some Valencia statto somewhere has way too much time on their hands, and should never have been allowed to have a hand in kit design XD

Having said that, over all it looks lovely. Especially the black away kit, muchly appreciate black kits.

Are you serious, that's gonna be Liverpool's away kit? DEAR GOD NO. There was nothing, nothing worse than all that busy crappy texturing back in the day. It's a football shirt, not bedroom wallpaper, ffs. And grey? Hang on, Sir Alex Ferguson might not be able to see 'em on the pitch...

Too much time on their hands, or too much wine in their system, haha.

I'm really in love with the black shirt. Hopefully I can get one with Albiol on the back.

Haha the texturing is my favorite (read: most ridiculous) part, I wonder if they'll look like little hologram men chuffing up and down the pitch. Those could prove useful after all, confusing the opposition (but hopefully not themselves, haha).
