So, I'm not sure if you'll remember how I snagged a secondment admin position, but I finally have my start date....

July 25th

That's right, a full five (possibly six, my maths is not up to much) weeks after being awarded the position. The position that ends in October. Pfft!

Babe, as stgulik will no doubt tell you, I am a crap beta. But I would suggest putting the word out in the communities like lovedraughts (which has a huge readership) and I believe that TPP actually has a beta 'corral' where folks are willing to lend a hand. Please archive at TPP and Ashwinder - they are the best, in my opinion. And they are genuinely interested in helping you to get better. They may also be able to recommend betas.

And I actually think there are beta communities here on LJ as well.

You'll find one - you're too good not to.

Good ideas - I have an amazing alpha on ffnet (who catches most of my errors), but I think an extra polish wouldn't go amiss. I'd like to be on the grown up archives, too!

If i weren't so busy with other projects and validating on Hawthorn & Vine, I might take you on. Sorry! But take Teddy's advice. I also recommend you join the lj community hp_betas and hp_betas_wanted (two diff groups) and advertise there.
