It's a cliché of the highest order: Life hasn't worked out as planned. I've harbored so many plans and giddy feelings; made so many posts that feel hollow now. I fail to see how a simple wedding ceremony and dinner could take away from their extravaganza.

What the hell? I am very happy for your brother of course, but your getting married does not take away from their getting married. I do NOT understand all this competition and ownership that surrounds such things.

I am so happy to hear about Ryan's new job by the way too :) Congrats! And maybe now I'll have an excuse to visit Ann Arbor some day :)

A small wedding and a later reception sounds great. We did that for our friends in Madison since none of them could come to the wedding.
