Burr, by Gore Vidal, was published in 1973, but it reads like something written when I was a boy. It is a... very interesting look at events in the life of Aaron Burr with what seems like a skewed perspective of his peers, but one with evidence. I've been engrossed in it and am more than halfway through- it's almost enough to prevent me from being painfully aware of having not moved in days. The clinic staff is highly skilled and professional, but I would give almost anything at this point to just get up, walk down the hall, and take the longest hot shower of my life ( ... )

The clinic looked far from a hospital, especially the way it opened up into the lab right next door, but that comforted Olivia, in a way. She'd spent to much time in hospital beds or strapped to gurneys over the past year alone; having it be so impersonal and open to the public seemed a plus for the moment.
She walked over, smile still on her face as she began applying the lotion to her other arm. "You're quite infamous, you know."
