[For Steve]

The island was a hell of a lot more inexplicable than the Pattern, Olivia had begun to find out. So many people taken from their homes, so many names on council lists of those around, those gone, those lost. It drove her to studying everything she could get her hands on, to looking around and hiking, searching and hoping for any clue that might help her discover a way home.

She'd spent most of the day wandering the island again, filling in the map she'd memorized at a glance, adding real structures and landmarks to the lines and dots in her memory. Making it as far as the dinosaur fence had been her goal for the day, but it had taken her much longer than she'd anticipated. In the heat, a simple cap did nothing to save her from the sun beating down on her fair skin after most of the sunblock she'd applied that morning wore off. By the time she'd made it back to the compound and headed for the clinic, her shoulders and arms were pink, the skin warm to the touch. There didn't seem to be any doctors around, and with a quick glance over at the lab to see if Walter was there, she went straight for the cabinet they kept the aloe vera mix in.

Funny, how she'd gone from figuring out how to stop another universe from destroying hers, to having sunburn be her greatest foe.

She'd applied a layer to her left arm before she looked up and around the clinic again, having noticed the man in the bed at her first glance. His story hadn't exactly been a secret, the way news traveled around the island and through the IPD. Steve Rogers, shot just before he was arrived and saved by a speedy operation, recuperating from his wounds. Possibly Captain America, from what she remembered of the few comics she'd read as a child. She felt for him, never having liked being cooped up in a hospital bed herself.

She held a hand up briefly, giving him a small smile. "Sorry if I'm bothering you."

in-game, steve rogers
