I can't believe I knew exactly what movie you were going to reference just from your heading.
And I've never even watched the entire thing. I tried once, on cable, but they'd cut out all the violence, so it was like *Jason raises his ax - cut - someone discovers a dead person*.
Yeah I just noticed that. Anything remotely gory? Gone!
SciFi Channel, surprisingly, is even worse. Don't ever watch their version of Lake Placid. Someone needed to break it to them that if they don't show the severed head, nothing in the next 40 minutes makes any sense.
It's a bit like when they cut out the pot from The Breakfast Club - without that scene, all the kids just mysteriously start acting spacey and goofy. I never understood why until I saw an uncut version. Then it was like... ohhhhhh. Right.
