Damn, I actually feel sorry for Angela. Breaking up over email-- no matter how early in the courtship-- is pretty bloody arsey. For shame, Alenko.

Gah, I want to hate you for writing a one-shot that demands a follow-up-- nay, several follow-ups! There've been a few fics so far on FF.net that have kinda dealt with Kaidan and Shepard awkwardly meeting again post-Horizon, but nothing very exhaustive. I'm simply itching to read a story that actually gives a more padded-out detailing of their eventual reconciliation (and the hardships/mistrust that, let's face it, would probably linger for a while after they got back together). But I guess I'll keep waiting for such a story, if impatiently. :) (I'm so very demanding, aren't I?)

I was iffy about the e-mailing... it seemed a little out of character, but... I didn't want to go into whole breakup conversation since that would mean I would have to flesh Angela out more than I wanted to and I would have probably kept her around for added angst later on down the line. D:

It's a one-shot for right now. In my head-canon, I haven't even decided who survives Virmire yet. *sigh* Once I get through that and, if he survives, this will definitely be an in between ME2/ME3 angsty fic that I intend to flesh out more. I may yet post to ff.net, since it's seriously lacking in the shenko department.

Also: Don't mind friending at all. XD I hope I've never come across stuck up or anything. Most of my stuff's public anyway.

If you write another chapter, it would be interesting to add in who survived (and who didn't).

No guarantees, but I'm working feverishly to get another chap posted this weekend. It is so difficult to make a badass be human without making her sound whiny... *sigh*
