Purchase: another Subgenius find on eBay, w00t!
One of the things that's come up every year that Himself would like for birthday/Father's Day/Christmas/other gift-giving holiday is Arise!, the Subgenius video. While I could get a homemade copy of it for nominal price off a friend, it's never seemed quite right. This apparently has been because it's now on DVD, which I just scored on eBay

I don't like confetti because it's such a pain to clean up. My friend Chuck once threw a whole bunch in a care package and I very carefully saved it in a Ziplock bag, then returned it to him in my next package to him. I still don't think he understood why I did that.
When Laurel was teeny-tiny, my sister spilled some facepainting glitter (made of plastic, not the metal kind for crafts) at the table while Laurel was sleeping in her bassinet a couple feet away and I couldn't get it off her scalp for weeks, despite my best efforts and lots of slightly dampened cotton swabs. When we moved to North Carolina a month later, Robert's first comment when he met us at the airport was "What's that sparkly junk on her head?".
