Lump is a cyst (phew), Scholastic Book Fair season, and enough rain.

Boobie update: Sonogram negated the need for a mammogram; it's just a cyst. Next time I have to have something scanned or imaged, I am totally asking for that place again. I got to lie on a heated exam table (!) and the lights were dimmed so I didn't go blind staring at the ceiling. It was as nice as could be expected for having my boobs pushed

I have a family history but all were diagnosed in their 70s. My doc agreed with me that it was a good idea just to be sure it wasn't something nasty. The tech looked really happy to tell me that I didn't need the mammogram after all!

Now I want to know if the cyst can be drained and if so, I want to take a picture of it to send to auntiesiannan. She shares my satisfaction in popping things.

When I was Laurel's age I went to a very small school that didn't have book fairs or do book club orders, so it was fascinating to have those when I went to public school afterward. I even won the three pairs of sneakers drawing from one of the book clubs when I was in fifth grade. I thought I was hot stuff with a pair of LA Gear high tops then!

Now I want to know if my doctor can drain the cyst. I want to see what color it is after last week's episode of House where they drew blood from a patient and it was GREEN. I'd never seen that before.

You can have all our rain! I read you're having a hundred-year drought there. Obviously it's been falling here instead because we had an overly wet spring too. I want a cool, dry fall here.

I still get to have the lump biopsied. This should be interesting. I hope it comes out cool like the green blood sample on last week's episode of House. That was SO awesome.
