Taste Addison is this weekend. I thought Vogon wanted to go, but it doesn't look like it. Maybe next year. I really want to try the dessert fondue from the Melting Pot's booth.

Have you ever tried making cigarette tea to get rid of the mites?

Snap the filters off of about twenty cigarettes. Let them stew in about two quarts of water for a week - strain. Add about a quarter of a teaspoon of liquid soap to the water - this will help it to stick to the leaves, etc. Put in a spray bottle and spray away!

Would that just kill the mites or wold it kill everything? Vogon has some ladybugs (still indoors, last I checked) and I don't want to kill them.

Hooray for Wikis! I've been doing a lot at Your Subculture Soundtrack again, including dumping in all the Blue Jam playlists. Hooray!

VLC is "ok", try Mplayer if you can. I *think* there's a windoze type version available.

There are Windows source/binaries listed on their download page. I'm a little intimidated by that, but luckily the related projects page has lots of packages for wusses like me. I'll check it out. Thanks!

Mmm, paid hosting. I recommend my host (Dreamhost) -- they're kind, willing to work with people, and give you insane amounts of things for very little money. Let me know when you decide, and if you go with Dreamhost I can hook you up.

The lighter should refill with butane. Most long-handled ones do.

That's a wonderful Neko Bus. We found a stuffed one at Disneyworld a few years back. I think my brother bought it, but it was day 5 or 6, so my memory is a bit unclear.
