After upping the amount I walk yesterday, my right knee is sore and the kneecap is subluxating more than usual, so I guess it's time for new sneakers. Any recommendations for narrow feet and high arches

Can't say anything for narrow feet but I've been quite happy with my tims. Their best footbeds are in their workboots, though.
Being extra clumsy, I vouch for steel toes any chance I get. I almost lost a toenail stubbing my toe on a metal door while wearing running shoes. Seriously.
Oh and good call on retiring the old shoes. You'd be surprised how many people create leg and foot injuries by not changing shoes when the cushioning is worn out.
