I just finished a draft of a 16-page absurd(ist) crime story called "Gainful Employment". It's the fourth story draft that I've written this semester. I forgot to mention this yesterday, but I recently updated both A is A and the long quiet Knives Out.

A is A has the first draft of a story called "The Fourth".

Knives Out has a template for a quick vegan snack.

Well, lookit that. The first full draft of my first thesis story is up at A. is A. It's called "Goodbye, Invisible Man". It explores themes I've worked with before, such as the past, physical displacement, impossible males, and uneven relationships. It's a bit of an experiment in voice. I finished my first full draft of "Goodbye, Invisible Man" today. As I reread it, I thought about themes that often show up in my work.

Today I attended the Portland Retro Gaming Expo with Twee McGee this morning. He picked me up in a zipcar and we spun out. Now I have an old Space Invaders cartridge to display on a shelf somewhere.
