HOW GOOD WAS FIRST CLASS? OTHER THAN SO GOOD I MEAN. I am writing an annoying amount of fic for it I don't even a;dkjadfj. I think I am slightly more partial to Armando/Alex (TRAGIC but touchy-feely /eyebrow raise) but Hank/Alex is pretty awesome too. And it amuses me so much from a comics canon standpoint. Somewhere Scott is crying into his favorite picture of Alaska. I LOOK FORWARD TO THIS MANIFESTO.

oh my god, that stupid movie, IT HAS RUINED MY LIFE. RUINED IT. I saw it three times in theaters and about 100+ times on the cam rip/R5 I've had on my computer since seeing it. I. HATE. THESE. STUPID. GAY. MUTANTS. they've taken over me and won't let me go. I REALLY DID LIKE THE ARMANDO/ALEX because c'mon gay as can be over there, but I like Hank/Alex better just because Hank is a more developed character, I'm a sucker for the whole jock/nerd thing, and Armando was in the movie for all of five minutes. :C
and omg the manifesto only concerns First Class canon because LMFAO imagine trying to make sense of that ship with what we're given in the comics POOR SCOTT INDEED

I didn't really get into Hank/Alex - mostly because I was kind of blinded by the LET ME TOUCH YOUR STOMACH TENDERLY FOR NO APPARENT REASON of Alex/Darwin (Armando? I don't even know but I loved him anyway) - but I can see it?
I thought the last Harry Potter film was going to make me cry, but then it just kind of ... didn't. (Snape was great, though.) And then I rewatched the last few episodes of Avatar: the Last Airbender and cried forever.
(aaaaah Captain America doesn't even come out over here until August.)
the only reason Armando/Alex didn't take over my world like Hank/Alex is because ARMANDO DIES WITH ABOUT FOUR MINUTES OF SCREENTIME, MAX. lol that and I have a thing for jock/nerd tropes, BUT I totally see it and ship it because c'mon, they were totally exchanging some sort of sexual favors in that CIA HQ. I just like Hank/Alex more since Hank's, y'know, in the movie for more than a handful of seconds.
I don't even know why I was so underwhelmed by it. the first part of Deathly Hallows was fun for me? but this one just... was not. it was just so boring even though it was the half of the book with all the battles and death and stuff (tho getting to see Neville being a badass was awesome, I'll give it that). AND AVATAR dslfe forever in love with Avatar and it's greatness ;u;

That's true. It feels like most the reason he was there was so that he could conveniently sacrifice himself. And also for that awkward SLAVERY~ close-up. But he's a cabbie, and cab drivers in movies/literature have a penchant for badassitude. (tbh I kind of want an AU where Armando meets Alex while he's still a cabbie, and then they sort of keep meeting, and then at some point there is porn and terrible chinese takeout, idek.)
Putting Hank/Alex on my reading list, though. :3
I liked most of it, really, but there were a lot of small things that were ... jarring. (Like the part where they blew up the bridge, or the part after Mrs Weasley's duel with Bellatrix where she smiles like she's gotten the taste for murder.) It wasn't as BRILLIANT SPARKLY EXPLOSIONS as it could have been, but I can't really put my finger on why, either. (But Neville, goddam! And I really liked McGonagall's bit too.)
No-one I know irl will watch AtLA because it's a kids' show and they are soulless bastards(That sounds like the best

I think it's totally possible that he could come back since his power is to adapt to LITERALLY ANYTHING, so he could eventually piece himself back together, atom by atom and swing by Xavier's school post-beach incident and Alex can have his ~reunion moment~. but lol the script writers apparently didn't think like that. AND OH MY GOD THE SLAVERY CLOSE UP. every time I rewatch and it happens I just kind of cringe. really, editors. really. we had to do that.
