stories from a mall

Okay, so where do you all buy your clothes? I'm getting supremely frustrated with what is available. We went to the mall this evening to let the boy run off some steam. I saw that Lane Bryant had a bunch of sale racks, so I went to check it out in the hopes that I could find some tops that don't cling to every bit of fat on my body. But, their ( Read more... )

I mostly use Land's End, even though I find them a little overly modest. Nothing clings, at least.

I'll have to check out their website. I'm always wary of ordering clothes, since I don't know how sizes run. But on the positive side, that would be a good way to avoid mid-store breakdowns. :)

They run big, if it helps you. They carry ladies' up to 20 and women's from 16W up. I wore their non-maternity clothes when I was very pregnant, and I'm not skinny by any means. It's quality stuff, and they're really good about taking returns. You can try some of the clothes on at Sears. They don't carry the whole line, but it's the same stuff as in the catalogue.

TARGET, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, and also like, Fashion Bug, Deb, and I hear Cato is great.

Target is awesome, but a little hit and miss. Like, one week I love everything they have, and the next week it seems to be all gone and there's only t-shirts. So if you go and you like something, get it! :)

I usually get my clothes at Target, but the last time we went I hated the way everything I tried looked on me. :( Definitely a miss. I'd forgotten all about Fashion Bug - I used to go there all the time. I've never tried Deb or Cato; I think there is a Deb in one of the local malls.
