As a God, Baal had never been short of worshippers, eager to offer themselves as a sacrifice for his pleasure. Though he had not taken advantage of that as much as some, there had, if he chose to admit it, been times that could only be described as hedonistic. Now he was not a God. He was barely even a System Lord. Everything he was and had claimed as his had been surrendered, sacrificed for the right to call one human woman his.
Samantha Carter, late of the SGC, lay in a tumble of sheets, her body golden in the light of their chambers. Her nipples were pink and tight, her kiss-swollen lips parted as she hauled in desperate breaths. Her blonde hair was tousled from being tossed, her hands wound silk into knots as her back arched.
“Ohh, please.”
Her pleading was airy, rough with lust. Her eyes were lidded as she gazed up, desire darkening the blue to that of a stormy sky. Her thighs trembled beneath his palms as he stroked her legs, moving up slowly. He loved to tease her, to make her beg, to watch her as she came undone. To know that he could make her shudder with the need for him was more satisfying than the subjugation of the entire universe.
Power had never been that responsive, had never begged him to fuck it, never clung to him during the long hours of darkness. It had never made him an agony of anticipation as he got closer and closer to its wet heat. It had never made him groan when he lost himself in its depths.
And it had never shoved him onto his back, looked at him with laughing eyes, then ridden him to the oblivion of orgasm.
Baal closed his arms around Samantha as she collapsed, panting and shuddering with the last frissons of her climax, and knew that had he the choice a thousand times over, that he would always choose this, choose her.
The universe was no longer enough, because it simply couldn’t compare.
