Hello OI!
I'm sure you've noticed that most of our designers have moved on to bigger and more awesome things. We love them, and they will always be a part of OI, but we need some new blood.
Would YOU like to design here at OI? If so, click the cut!
We would like to see four examples of your work: one base, one icon with text, one icon without text, and one text-only icon. You will never be required or forced to make one type or another of icons or bases - or any kinds of graphics - we just want to see what you can do.
A few more or one or two less than four is fine, but we want to get a wide range of your abilities. We may also ask for more examples after your initial four. A link to your icon journal (if you have one) would be lovely! Also, please provide a short sentence or two with each icon, saying what made you make that icon - why the image spoke to you, how the quote fit, things like that. Please include an email or a way to contact you if Livejournal's Message System is insufficient for you.
Optional: if you'd like to include a short bio, some of your interests/fandoms, favourite movies and books, or any pertinent details about your life that you'd like us to know, feel free!
OI does have a particular aesthetic, and we'd like someone that fits in with our styles and the styles our members come here to see. And with the other designers! We have a limited number of slots available. If we reject you, we are not rejecting YOU! You're still welcome to become an affiliate; please don't take offense if we say no.
If there are any additional comments or questions, please comment with them! All comments will initially be screened for privacy's sake.
Decisions as to yes or no will be made Sunday, December 26th.
