The Return Of The Icon Meme
Many of you are probably familiar with the age-old icon meme - it goes a bit like this:
1. Go to your profile and make sure you have 25 or more interests.
2. Comment on this post. (One comment per person, please!)
3. I (and possibly other designers, if the urge strikes them) will go to your profile and choose one* of your interests to icon, and then icon it.
4. I will then compile and post an entry with all the icons made during the interest meme.
* = I may get inspired and make more than one icon from your interests, or more than one icon from one interest - say, three icons about cats. I have been suffering icon block for a good few months now, and I'm hoping that this will open the floodgates. The result may be quite a few icons!
Keep in mind that making icons is a hobby, something to do that relaxes me and is fun. I have my own pace and my own way of doing things. This means that it may take me a while to get to your comment, and a while to make your icon. I might also skip your comment, if none of your interests inspire me - I may come back to your comment, I may not.
In short, don't hassle the icon-maker, okay? Okay.
Comments are open - no limits, they won't be closed or capped - but I make no promises about how far I get with this - there's a chance that I'll never get to your comment and never icon your interest(s).
Finally, if you have a specific interest or topic you want iconed, you're better off requesting it (request post here).
