Yep, he was in Fires of Pompeii, with Ten and Donna. He was the father of the family they rescued.

I would laugh so hard if 12 is the complete opposite of any Peter Capaldi's other work. Like 12 is the a quiet, polite, little, old grandpa style Doctor. And bluebirds fly to eat birdseed from his pocket, but he's too nice to shoo them. And he never yells at Clara or is cross with anyone, even the bad guys. He must makes them tea and let's them talk about their mommy issues.

I think I'll have to re-watch Children of Earth now, just as a refresher! I'm so excited they are having an older gentleman play the Doctor again. I kept expecting him to get younger and younger. *shakeshead* Is it December already?!

I'm excited about the older aspect too. :D I stopped watching DW these past few years because I've had problems with the writing, but maybe I'll start again to see if it'll change with Capaldi.
