Deep in the ocean, dead and cast away
Where innocence is burned in flames
A million mile from home, I'm walking ahead
I'm frozen to the bones, I am

A soldier on my own, I don't know the way
I'm riding up the heights of shame
I'm waiting for the call, the hand on the chest
I'm ready for the fight, and fate

The sound of iron shots is stuck in my head
The thunder of the drums dictates
The rhythm of the falls, the number of debts
The rising of the horns ahead

From the dawn of time to the end of days
I will have to run away
I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste
Of the blood on my lips, again

This steady burst of snow is burning my hands
I'm frozen to the bones, I am
A million mile from home, I'm walking away
I can't remind your eyes, your face

Spoiler policy: I'm not going to talk specifically about book spoilers/speculation in the vid notes, but am open to discussing them in the comments. For the sake of people reading the comments, please clearly flag book spoilers, thank you! :)

As soon as I read the books, the lure/objective of vidding GoT for me became the interesting grey area in trying to allude to book events without necessarily having the source for it. I think I might be able to do something after season 2. But season 1 by itself is nowhere near enough for ambitious projects of that nature, so I didn't think I was going to touch the show for a long time.

Then I found this amazing song via a great Assassin's Creed IV TV advert (Watch in full here), and M really wanted me to make a GoT vid using what source we have, so here we are. (His exact words were "I want lots of wolves.") There are touches in here that sort of allude to future events, but not as much as I initially envisioned, and I think they're certainly not obvious unless you know what you're looking for. (And perhaps not even then. :P )

I documented the entire vidding process over at Vid Pub. It took 4 working days - averaging around 4-5 hours per day - to get a full timeline, and you can see the vid's evolution via streaming drafts and timeline screencaps here on this thread. (Note: the Working Day 2 draft contains book spoilers.) It was an interesting experience, but I don't think I'll repeat it again, just because it feels like I'm somehow pressuring people to keep watching the same thing over and over. :P Although it's very interesting and informative to look at everybody's different vidding processes.

(Didn't forget Rickon/Shaggydog; just didn't have any useable clips and couldn't fit them in. Ciphers, those two.).
