I went to my parents' over the long Queen's Birthday weekend. Trip was good: watched lots of Buffy, booked our Fiji trip and went shopping with my sister. Got a pair of comfy new Hush Puppies and a nice trench coat. I think its easier to... get involved/invested in the character if you aren't seeing the actor. I like to know trivia but i'm not all AHHH must know everything!

I save that for my favourite musicians :)

The RPS thing is good in small doses imo (when it's no more than light gossip), I know some people that have gone completely crazy with the Js and their poor private lives, and that's VERY awkward.

The coat is good, but sadly it's too cold for me to wear it at the moment. Need something warmer. :(

Re: Betty, I was a Gio fan myself. Still irked that they squashed that before it even really had a chance to go anywhere. But yes, Henry > Matt and Daniel/Betty seems to make sense as an endgame, even though I think I'd feel oddly uncomfortable actually seeing it happen.

I don't tend to become big fans of actors either. Hell, half the time I don't even find them attractive out of character. See: pretty much every guy to play one of my favorite superheroes, with the exception of Dean Cain.

I don't think I've ever met a Gio fan before. (But then I don't go around asking random people "who do you ship Betty with?") He came in too soon after Henry for me to have a stake in the 'ship.

Agree that Daniel/Betty could get very awkward. But maybe they can play off the awkwardness?

Betty/Henry lost its gleam for me with the baby mama drama. It irked me to see Betty harping on him for "getting another girl pregnant," when it happened with his then-girlfriend. Not saying she should have shrugged it off, but when you hear that phrase you usually think cheating.

For me, Daniel/Betty is kind of like Adama/Roslin, in that I like the bond and the hints that they could be something more, but would probably be weirded out if they actually went there. Which they probably will, despite the showrunners' claims to the contrary.

Then again I squee madly at Daniel/Betty moments. So who knows what I want?
