  • Today me, Kirsten, Tom and Ali went for an actual picnic - in the sun, with food and drink and a cloth and everyfink. Plus when I questioned Kirsten's claim that sandwiches taste better when they're made for you, she took that as a challenge. Result - two delicious Egg-Mayo and Spinach sarnies.

I love PSP! Get Valkyrie Profile. And that one Katamari game. And Dissidia. And um um um.
Actually... What version of PSP is it? If it's a 1000 or a 2000, I have a ... secret to tell you. A secret that makes a PSP far more useful and exciting.

A 2000-model. And Dissidia's on the "to buy" list (i'm test-borrowing it from a friend ATM) along with Crisis Core.

Ah good, it should work! You see, if you hack a PSP 2000 and install custom firmware, you can use it to play any PS1 game as well. Just gotta download the appropriate rom and put it on the PSP, and it's a functioning PS1. The process is a little tricky but it's a great way to experience old games.

Yeah, t'was a bargain, and Kirsten's lending me Dissidia and Crisis Core to influence my future game-buying habits. Plus, once the PS Network stops being pissy about my Maestro card, I'm contemplating a full nine-game sweep of Final Fantasy :D But if my savings are indeed kosher with the Housing Benefits people I will probably spend my pennies on food and shelter instead. Probably.
