What we can tell from the 5x19 sides:

1. Booth is dating the Marine Biologist for sure by now. She gave him a tie.

And I am lovin' it. LOVING. IT.

I am with you allllll the way Ms O. I am grinning and rubbing my hands and CHORTLING. Not over the explosions and death threats going off all across fandom but over ... the possibilities.

HH has failed me on occasion. I have shaken my fist and vowed to bail. I can get so invested in this crazy show I feel the need for wine or psychological intervention. BUT... not this time.

Not after this season so far.
I think the ride from April to the finale just may be EPIC.

I am with bite_or_avoid. The spoilers just made my heart drop. AND I know, I really do know, that BB will end up together.

But as I have said before..I do not understand why they have to use old plot devices such as third parties. I totally understand the idea of seeing Brennan jealous, but dag nabit...this is SEASON FIVE. And after the episodes we've seen this season, I don't know; I just think that they could come up with something else.

Of course, we haven't been treated to any of these episodes. And by the end of the season, I MAY say that this was the greatest season EVER. I hope so.

Will I be still watch and be totally excited? HECK YEAH! I just thought we were past the third party issue. Gah. It's me though, I can only take so much angst.

What bugs me is the repeated use of this same ploy of oh look they're dating someone else/they're each jealous but won't say or do anything about it so the whole thing is pointless. Maybe it will be different this time... And putting other people between them is not going to change the fact that it's really time to either shit or get off the pot when it comes to putting these two together.

This. Is. Exactly. How. I. Feel. I wouldn't be half as upset by this "new" development if something actually happened as a result of it. Each time another love interest comes into the picture, I keep hoping that it'll actually propel one of the Bs to finally act on it! But lets face it, nothing happened as a result of Brennan dating Booth's freakin' brother and boss. Nothing happened when Booth was interested in Perotta. I'm not holding out much hope that this time will be any different. I actually like Jealous/Angsty!Booth, but it's like, "Okay, I get it. He's jealous. Now let's see him do something about it!" And Indifferent!Brennan just pisses ( ... )

THIS ^ infinity. If it actually leads to one of them upsetting the status quo, then I'm all for it. But I don't know if I believe that's going to happen.

Although, I agree with billpickle. We don't know what the context for all of this is, so no use getting worked up three months in advance, lol.

Ok, didn't Hanson or one of his people say in a recent interview that the fans would hate them for 2 episodes but then they would love him again...? So this could mean a bit of denial & jealousy followed by B&B finally getting on the same page?

All of the above? Word. I have to agree...and not to sound like a pollyanna, but when we're presented with our OTP every single week for the last 5 seasons, it's hard not to shake our faith in them and in their getting together. Plus, I'm really, really interested in seeing a jealous Brennan -like you said, she has a tendency to imply "Booth's little, extremely insignificant friend here, who has an extremely insignificant job..." I'd love to catch her trying to put the Marine biologist down and inadvertently pissing Hodgins (the bug and slime guy) off ( ... )

So yeah, that was a great BTVS shoutout there. But more importantly, I dig your theory, and I sorta kinda had a similar theory, which prompted me to write Speculation!Fic in the 20 minutes after I read the sides, which then made me feel, oh, I don't know, like 100 gazillion times better. So I suggest you go write one of YOUR brilliant fics that give us the happy ending (and Booth and Brennan for that matter hehehe) we're all dying for!
