i had my parliamentary "interview" today, which basically just consisted of me sitting down with my MP's assistant and making a schedule. my MP is gordon marsden, who represents blackpool. he's labour (thank god - can you imagine if i had to work for a tory?) i was a bit terrified heading into it, but it turned out to be no big deal. the assistant

Go to the Tower of of London (tourist-y, to be sure, and you've prolly been there before anyway), if only so you can walk around humming XTC's "Towers of London" and Elvis Costello's "Man Out Of Time" (Yes, I did hafta take a picture of myself at Traitor's Gate...)

No lie, Towers of London has been stuck in my head since I got here. I have been there before, but I'll probably take my friend and/or my boyfriend over when they come visit!
