[She sounds remarkably well in comparison to how things have gone in the recent weeks. She may sound calm and composed, but there is nothing forlorn in the way she speaks. It is straight forward and thoughtful, but all the same sufficient ( Read more... )

A place of death; a place wreaking of blood and anger and sadness.

[Or so she can tell from what she's heard.]

...you're worried for someone, aren't you?

That seems to be an accurate assessment if I have ever heard one.

[Zelda pauses thoughtfully.]

I am a bit. A close friend of mine has fallen ill. [In a manner of speaking.] Of course, no one aboard may worry as much as I do.

Ill?

[The wolf considers this for a moment. Hmm...]

If you don't mind my saying, I think you worry to much; you should do something to take your mind off it.

In a manner of speech.

[Zelda quiets for a moment.]

I would not disagree with you, however, it is much easier to say it than to do it. I... think I will make plans that will cause some of that concern to fade. Thank you for your concern.

Shit, Zelda, where've y'been?

[She stiffens, even if he can't see it. Honestly, she was hoping she could completely bypass the subject and pretend nothing happened.]

...Hm? Oh... Well, I really did not have anything to say. How are you, Sir Zeke?

[That's an acceptable answer]

I'm fine. Things settled well enough, eh?

Things... settled?

[She wonders what he means.]

Do you mean with me?

...You have been absent for some time. [Someone is a bit worried.]

Has something happened?

[That's a flush. A very distinct one. It's... strange to have her... way into the future indirect offspring worry about her.]

I... did not mean to worry you. Please, accept my apologies.

The Hero of Time has fallen to dreams, it would seem, although I do not know when that happened or how long it will continue to be so. He seems stable enough aside from that, however, so my concerns may be misplaced.

Where were you? [The apology is dismissed; Zelda does not need them. Not from this one.]

...I see. [That is most troublesome news.] Perhaps he will wake soon. [She hopes.]

[She's uncomfortable withholding information, but she's not exactly willing to come out with it either. Not yet, anyway. If ever. And if she's ever known anything, a certain Sheikah doesn't want her saying anything.]

Well... I have been present, just... quiet.

[Zelda contorts her expression.] I hope so. I want to bring him flowers from the 13th deck, but am unsure if it is permissible to take some for my visitations. Surely even the smallest thing will help.

I wouldn't recommend going inside alone. You might get overwelmed by opponents and they can be quite resistant to sleep magic.

That is good advice, especially for people who have never gone before. I cannot say I know anyone who has gone in alone, however. I happen to know of something within Carnival that is susceptible to fire magic, but that seems to be the extent of my knowledge in that field.

Thanks for sharing that information, I usually use Fire spells but I'm glad I didn't when I was... being chased by the undead beasts.

I do not know about the undead creatures. I would think they react to their opposing element. Undead is generally some form of dark magic. It would make sense for something of a light magic would be appropriate. I am aware there are differing magic spells for various places.

Or so I imagine.

Carnival's a bad place. It's like they concentrated all the evil in the ship into one place.

[He pauses. He wants to be happy that Zelda's back, but ...]

Something happened to Link?

That was sort of the impression I got from it as well. I felt a little something more there, however. I just don't know what.

[Even if it's Jak, the thought of Link's condition troubles her. She's trying not to worry too much.]

He's fallen into a state of dreams, it would seem. He's stable, but... I don't know what exactly happened, or how to fix it. I don't believe I can, so I feel for now I should at least visit him here and there and check on his status.
