Well, the saving grace in all this, is by 2012, enough people (including a majority of Dems) will know enough to stay clear of her I think...

Scary stuff... she's loved by whack jobs too, it seems...

There is a really really small part of me that feels sort of bad for McCain (not bad enough that I would ever want him to win or anything LOL - poor guy just has no idea WTF what hit him.)

I dunno, it seems the far right whackos seem to absolutely love her. Hopefully by 2012 they will have lost control over the Republican party or at least realize they won't get much of a chance of winning if they choose her.

Why would McCain supporters be distancing themselves from Palin? It looks bad if he does win, since there's a rift in the ticket before they even get sworn in. If he loses, he can't really redeem himself to history by saying, "Oh I picked a crap running mate, but I realized it in the last week before the election." Any public sniping won't help him *at all.*

Yeah, they're a little late aren't they? We could have told them that before they thought about picking her.

I'm still wondering, apart from the fact that she's a woman, whatever possessed them to pick her? Because there's the obvious underestimation of women the country over who were, to a point, supporting Hillary and would, therefore, support Palin? Is that what they thought? *sigh* My 6 months old kitten (who's fascinated by Barack and Michelle every time they're on TV and runs away from Palin and McSame) has more sense than that...

Politically, I'm glad this is happening. But the human side of me is feeling a little sorry for McCain. His campaign basically railroaded him out of chosing his first picks, and pressured him into taking Caribou Barbie. She doesn't respect him, doesn't regard him as an authority figure ABOVE her, and doesn't care enough to communicate enough with the campaign or be a team player. I also can imagine how awful this must feel for those aides, who have poured their lives into their campaign with as much passion as we have on our side, only to have it come to this because of Palin.

Well, maybe they'll learn something.

LOL Sarah Oh twelve! That just sums the whole thing up. I hope that becomes her official slogan.
