Over at Politico, Ben Smith has an article suggesting tension between the Palinistas and McCainiacs. I'll leave aside Smith's, um, generous description of Palin's debate performance as "adequate", and his, um, intriguing reference to Joe Biden as " ( Read more... )

It looks like one of those Palin sentence generator ones. That's just crazy. I can only imagine how much trouble a translator would have in foreign negotiations!

I believe this is called, in technical terms, word salad. ;)) Everything she says is completely jumbled. I am astounded that anyone thinks she has a capacity to lead, her time as mayor and governor notwithstanding.

Of those three Romney is the only stomachable one. And sadly apparently him being Mormon counts against him (yet Huckabee who has outright said he would like to see more religion in hte constitution is ok... ?).

I am not sure who I dislike more, Huckabee or Palin honestly. I was so glad he didn't get the nomination this time.

I really hope the Republicans find some better candidates than the ones they are talking about now. I think i'd be ok with Romney but the other ones I've heard are all crap, and two of the top three most popular are scarey!

Geniune? I think for me what defined my idea of Huckabee is when he didn't air a smear ad, showed it to the press to show how he was such a good person that he thought it was too negative, and then played innocent when it got aired on tv (yeah, right...). To me it showed how insincere he really was and that you could not trust his claims on things.

That and I really object to his idea that there should be more religion in politics (he has outright said he'd like to see religioin influence the constitution more and that it should have morals in there). I very strongly subscribe to the idea that religion and politics should not mix (it's one of my many big objections to Palin to as I feel she's probably the same way. I don't mind my politician being very religious. I mind when they think that their religion should be in law).

I didn't see the ad.
Perhaps it was all show, but he's the only Republican that didn't sound like an angry a-hole at their convention.

As for the words you attribute to Huckabee, I'd have to see them in context. I respect the man for now but I'd be critical of him should he run again since I'm not a Christian.
