Someone in my graduate English program just forwarded that awful "Who is Barak Obama?" email! This person is working on her PhD and teaches Professional Writing!!

So I answered with a plea to please actually check that crap out before forwarding it, and then followed with this:

It's REALLY unfortunate that such a seemingly educated person would forward such trash.
I am not sure how I feel about Mike Huckabee, his site used to be so much scarier last year before the campaigning intensified..it mentioned something along the lines of starting a "jihad" with the middle east. Goodness. BUT my issue is, do I wish for him to win the republican nomination? On one hand, I think he is COMPLETELY unelectable because, come on, he alienates people left and right! BUT on the other hand do I want to take that kind of risk with the country? Take the chance of having a nut job run the country? I'm not certain.

But way to go!

One of my friend's emailed me that, and another posted it on MySpace bulletins. It's a bunch of propaganda, intended to "scare" voters. You know what, there are militant muslims out there, just as much are there are fanatical christians, but the people I know are in no way remotely in resemblance to what is described here. Furthermore, Mr. Obama has rejected these claims, and I am QUITE sure the muslim community would be very upset and speaking up if he were and denying it! It would be a complete disaster to his ability to negotiate peace in the middle east.
