watched Suicide Girls: The First Tour via Netflix. wow, remarkably boring. disappointingly boring.

the hula hoop bit with Pearl was amazing, though. and the nipple bite resulting in 9 stitches story was amusing. but that was pretty much it.

I've found similar things to be remarkably boring in the past. Perhaps I'm jaded by my exciting life or something. It also doesn't help that the SG corporation has gone all evil and stuff.

Oddly enough, Barnes & Noble files the SuicideGirls book in the Women's Studies section.

I can sort of see an argument for that. There is an aspect of empowerment in the original idea. Of course if they have it shelved next to Andrea Dworkin or Catherine MacKinnon then it's just funny.

We saw them in Milwaukee when they were on tour, and I really enjoyed it. But I'm not surprised by some of the things you've said. There's an interesting discussion about SG over at Bitch PhD (one of the blogs I read) -- and some of the things people have said about the SG administration really turned me off. Plus, yeah, it's still pron and it's still objectification and lack of diversity.
