EVP experiment!

Sep 20, 2005 17:40

Is anyone else interested in EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena)? Bad Psychics is a website for sceptics, and they're currently running an experiment to see what their readers hear the 'spirit voices' saying on these alleged EVP examples. It took me ages to hear anything at all, but in the end on three out of the five tracks I heard pretty clear ( Read more... )

the first one sounds like.. i couldn't make out exact words, but like, i got the impression it sounded like someone working either at an airport, or army, or navy, and their reporting something - orders, co-ordinates, over the reciever...? But when i read what you said, i can hear that. :P Or variations on it.. there's no boarding down here.... there's nobody drowning... etc

second one i thought was something like "i can see you here/near"

3 - ??

4 - help me... something something (help them?)

5- ??

so yeah, a reasonable amount of variation, lol.
ooo.. i feel a chill running up my spine :-s

Meep. That was scary. These are mine:

Recording 1: devil don't speak sanskrit
Recording 2: attention de l'amour
Recording 3: nothing
Recording 4: that is something
Recording 5: nothing

I can hear 'there is no death' for number 4, definitely. Um, I think my number 1 may be the result of listening to too much cheesy metal recently.

Yay! I'm really pleased you did it. Haha,I love your number one! I was sure number two was: "I will see you in Mordor," but I'd just found that Crazy Boromir thing so that may have coloured it slightly. I still submitted it as my answer on the site though. I said 'I think this may be the ghost of Tolkien.' Haha.

Oh, that was scary! Here's what I got:

1 - there's no sound again (what?!)
2 - I don't see no one
3 - nothing really, but sounded a bit like 'drops again' at the end
4 - a kiss of death
5 - nothing, but something about children, I think.

Holy crap. That scared the crap out of me. The fourth one...*shudders* I didn't even listen to the fifth one because the fourth one made me want to go hide under my covers.

Heh. Otherwise I couldn't decipher anything from them.

Yeah, I scare myself silly with stuff like this. If I have to stay in my house on my own I'm waaay more scared of ghosts than robbers. Which is just ludicrous!

I'm not even really that scared by ghosts. I mean, I've come into contact with what I can only assume were two ghosts, and it wasn't all that scary. Well...one was, but that's only because of the circumstances. But creepy voices and stuff? *shudders* I can hardly see the previews for The Exorcism of Emily Rose without wanting to run and hide.

1. Death don't.... (couldn't decipher the rest.

2. two was tricky. It sounded like "I've only seen the war" or "i've only seen water" or "i don't want to see you in the morgue" or "i won't see you anymore"

3, 4, 5. I didn't have a clue what they were saying.
