Heaps of shitty birth stuff going on at the moment, a normal birth seems to be an impossibility at the moment as I cant actually get anyone to take me on at all
( Read more... )
It is the 2x c-sections thing... Unfortunately Jenny has moved to Tirau and has practically retired, she only does backup! She said if she was still up here then she would have taken me on (I am friends with her daughter) There is just no one happy to take me on, and the moment I step into a hospital my normal birth chances are practically nil :(
The only person she could recommend was the midwife I had with Aston and she is having a baby too due around the same time as me, and her partner is not working from Jan-June. Im too high risk, no one is interested, but I just cant force myself into consenting to surgery for no good reason. I have been told is that I grow my babies too big and they keep getting stuck! And that because of my wound infection I have a 50% higher chance of rupture as well...
I'll move to NZ and be your midwife. =) I hope you can have the birth you want and deserve. And if the infection has long since healed, there is no reason it should be higher risk for rupture. What would give you a high risk for rupture is an induction with pitocin or cytotec.
Is there anyway you could just stay home till it's too late for them to do a section? As in, walk in in active labor or pushing stage?
Youre on, you can live with me till baby is born :P
I didnt transfer till I was 10cm with Aston, and because he wasnt in 'the optimal position' ie he was OT, they changed him to OP manually. I was bullied the moment I walked in the door :(
Thats ok about being cut :) I never like to say anything when I am cos I dont want to cause drama lol
Yup baby due in about 2.5 months or so... bit scary but getting there slowly :)
Have a lot of photos to post, and a birthday post for Aston who turned one nearly a month ago lol and Amalia who turns 4 in 13 days. All full on round here, lots to post about just getting the mojo to post!
Hey, how are things going with the birth plans now? I saw your comment to a post in Boob Nazis, and wanted to see how you are doing. I'm due a month after you. =)
Hey Still a pain in the butt... cant have my homebirth unless I want to go unassisted (which I just dont feel is the right choice this time) and have been told that I can go to the birthing unit the midwife I have works out of, but I know that I am not supposed to go there lol so will find out when I see her again in May. I am really just hoping this baby comes too fast to go anywhere, but I dont think im that lucky. If I cant go to unit having my baby in my car seems like the next best option lol
Pregnancy this time has been awful though, tons and tons of pelvic pain, had a scare at 29 weeks, I thought my waters had broken (although in hindsight it was just a leak) and some bleeding but everything seems to have calmed down now. Very tired and depressed feeling this time too... I am hoping to go overdue as I still have a ton of stuff to do lol
Maybe you could rent a motel room near the hospital for the birth? Save up some money for it? That way you could try it unassisted, and the hospital is right there if you need to transfer...
I had a small bleed a few weeks ago and it was scary because I've never bled during pregnancy before. I guess it was nothing. I had an U/S about a week ago and baby was perfect and the placenta is high in the uterus. I had some pelvic pain for awhile, but it's been better with good posture and the baby must be positioned different. I know the pubic bone pain can be from baby being turned around posterior. I do pelvic rocking when she does that to me. Have you seen spinningbabies.com? Lots of great info about finding baby's position and how to help baby get in a better position for Mom's comfort and for birth.
I'm thinking positive thoughts for you for this birth! Stay focused on the positive, on what you WANT. It will help!
Yeah I frequent spinning babies, both Aston and Amalia were malpositioned (amalias head asynclitic and Aston was posterior and deflexed) so im being a lot more mindful... I think alot of damage was done after I had aston, my tailbone is out some, and I havent been very good at careful moving this pregnancy. This baby is all over the place at the moment, been head down for ages.. hoping that it starts to engage soon, I think ill breathe a sigh of relief when that happens. I cant afford a chiro or anything which sucks but im talking to the baby about being deep in my pelvis but its not happened yet. I know its not major if it doesnt happen before labour is fully established but its still a worry

Chances are that you were cut as you weren't posting and I got a bit funny about people being able to read yet not posting themselves... LOLZ
