Interesting theory, really. There might be something about it, although on the other hand I think it might actually be just a coincidence. Also, In canon, Mycroft did not help Sherlock arrange the whole thing beforehand (as you know), only provided money later on, when Sherlock contacted him. I think that's what he is going to do in the series, too, as Sherlock will need his help (especially financial) in a way Molly could never provide.
Nevertheless, I am glad Molly was given such significance. I do not ship her with Sherlock or anything, but I really like her character.

I don't ship her with Sherlock either. I'd rather ship her with Lestrade, because those two need some love, and I think they're both brilliant characters and would look cute together...anyway, back on topic, yes, I know Mycroft didn't know of the plan. I don't know, it's just that I find it intriguing that they created a character out of nowhere with those initials, and she turns out to be the one who - supposedly - know about Sherlock's "magic trick".

I think you are right, it's intriguing. But I'm not really convinced they intended it from the very beginning. Still it's good. I'm glad Molly played such an important part.

Yeah, I guess it is most likely just a coincidence. XD But if they didn't plan it, it's quite cool.
And yeah, judging from Lestrade's face at the little Xmas party, he wouldn't mind a couple of dates with her. XD
