Eunhyuk and Sungmin both trudged through their door into their apartment, Sungmin crashed into the couch as Eunhyuk collapsed on a chair.

"That manager will be the end of us all." Eunhyuk declared.

Sungmin cursed his name as he rubbed his own legs. "I want to pass out and die, and hopefully in front of the manager so he can finally show some compassion!"

"You could be murdered in front of his eyes and even then he'll find a way to revive you and make you work with a pay-cut for wasting his time."

"Sadly enough, he would." Sungmin murmured, he closed his eyes and decided to simply sleep on the couch as he was when he heard a familiar sound. His newly acquired neighbor was once again singing.

Any other day he would've been fine with it, since he had actually lucked out on having a neighbor that was able to sing. But due to his exhaustion and his manager's evil temperament, he now found it a nuisance to his attempted nap. He forced himself up and out of his apartment and banged his fist on his neighbor's door.

The neighbor temporarily stopped his singing. Sungmin leaned against the door frame, he pursed his lips and looked down at the bottom of the door when it finally opened.

"Yes?" The voice greeted.

Sungmin looked up, ready to lash out on the poor unsuspecting person when he froze completely.

"Is there something wrong?" He asked. Sungmin realized he had his mouth opened and quickly closed it.

"N-no... nothing wrong." Sungmin suddenly forgot the reason he was over there. "Just... wanted to say hi."

His neighbor smiled. "Hi!" He said rather excitedly, Sungmin felt his heart skip a beat.

"If there's anything you ever need..." Sungmin thought over his words. "Just knock on my door." His neighbor nodded. Sungmin walked just a bit to his own door and opened it when his neighbor asked:

"Wait, what's your name?" Sungmin mentally slapped himself.

He forgot to introduce himself, he turned slightly to face him. "Sungmin, yours?"

His neighbor gave an even larger smile. "Ryeowook, pleasure to meet you." Sungmin nodded as Ryeowook closed his door. Sungmin had to force himself to move inside his apartment and stood dumbfounded by the door.

"What happened?" Eunhyuk asked, still in his same position as he watched the television.

Sungmin clutched his chest and relived the previous five minutes of his life. "...I have no idea."

Sungmin came to enjoy his neighbor's daily singing after he returned from work each day. It's been months since and he found that was able to talk to his neighbor more comfortably. Eunhyuk didn't understand, he didn't consider Ryeowook to be much of a big deal, a relief in Sungmin's eyes..

He was looking forward to their next encounter when one night he came home to find Ryeowook fumbling with his keys. He noticed his downcast expression. "What's wrong?" He asked.

Ryeowook gave a weak smile. "Nothing, just... turned down again."

"For what?"

"Work, I've been trying to find a part-time job but no one's hiring it seems." Ryeowook confided, he finally placed his key into the lock. He opened the door halfway when Sungmin suddenly reached for his shoulder.

He turned around and just as quickly Sungmin dropped his arm. "A-actually, at the restaurant I work at, they've been looking for some part timers. If you want I could talk to my manager."

Ryeowook brightened up immediately. "Really?"

Sungmin smiled nervously as he rubbed his head in a shy manner. He nodded when Ryeowook suddenly jumped onto him for a tight hug. "Thank you, thank you!" Sungmin was completely stiff as Ryeowook let go of him and walked back into his apartment. Even then he remained frozen until Eunhyuk returned and knocked his bag onto his head.

For once his dictator of a manager was actually pleased to hear news of the new hire. Most of the time, people generally avoided his shop, it didn't shock Sungmin when his manager had no idea why.

"You've been after the part-timer for a while now." Eunhyuk whispered when he caught Sungmin's stare once again, both dressed in their uniforms as they cleaned up the tables. "Don't you think you should make your move?"

Sungmin scoffed as he placed the plates in his bin. "I am not after him."

"Oh really? He seems to be your type." Eunhyuk smirked, giving an all-knowing look.

"Cute isn't my type." Sungmin insisted.

"Right." Eunhyuk chuckled but quickly hustled when the manager yelled at them. A short while later, Ryeowook returned during the restaurant's intersession and huddle into his sweater as he leaned against the front counter. Sungmin shook his head.

"I don't know how you can handle being out there, it's freezing." Ryeowook nodded but smiled as he held up the few flyers in his hand.

"I still need to pass these out then onto the next batch." He said optimistically. That positive attitude of his didn't falter one bit during the entire time he worked there.

Sungmin leaned on his palm. "You're very cute." He commented, Ryeowook blinked and looked down shyly.

"No, I'm not." He murmured.

Sungmin gave a playful smile as he leaned in even further on the counter. "Yes," He lifted up Ryeowook's chin and met his eyes. "You are."

Ryeowook reddened and excused himself to distribute more flyers outside. Sungmin chuckled at his clumsy self as Ryeowook had his sweater caught by the doors.  It was an odd yet refreshing realization, he was often the one teased but he found that he liked this new dominance.

Despite how often Eunhyuk called him out on entranced stares, Sungmin would simply shrug it off. He admitted to himself on his own developing feelings and found that he was gradually acting on them.

"You're a little too tiny to be a real threat to anyone." Sungmin pointed out one night. Ryeowook narrowed his eyes as he sat on a nearby chair. Sungmin was cleaning up to close up when Ryeowook decided on his own to stay behind.

"I can be strong and forceful when I want to." Sungmin laughed as Ryeowook strengthened his glare.

"I'm sure." Sungmin said doubtingly, Ryeowook pouted as he looked down at his lap.

Sungmin untied his apron and placed it over the chair as he stealthy walked towards him. He reached his arms around Ryeowook and felt him stiffen, Sungmin gave a cunning smile when he reached for the plate on the table.

"Seems I missed one." Sungmin said lowly in his ear.

Ryeowook stood up abruptly. "We should get going before it gets too late." He said quickly as he rushed towards the doors.

Sungmin was definitely enjoying this, he finished the rest of his task before heading out the doors. He locked them and eyed Ryeowook who was shuffling his feet on the ground, he didn't notice his presence just yet as he sang another one of his songs.

Ryeowook hummed the end verse when he turned and locked eyes with Sungmin. He widened his eyes and instantly stopped. Sungmin jerked the key away from the lock and placed it in his jacket's pocket. "You didn't have to stop, you have a nice voice."

"T-thanks." Ryeowook restlessly looked around. He followed Sungmin as they walked their familiar path home, when Sungmin stopped to buy a warm drink from a vendor. He drank a bit and offered it to Ryeowook who eyed the drink rather intently.

"You don't have to." He murmured as he rubbed his arms profusely to stay warm. Sungmin continued to hold it out for him until Ryeowook gave in and took the cup from his hand. He licked his lips, enjoying every bit of the warmth the drink gave him. He furrowed his eyebrows when he noted Sungmin's sly smile. He asked what it was.

"There," He pointed to the drink. "An indirect kiss." Ryeowook turned scarlet.

"You're too innocent for your own good." Sungmin chuckled as he leaned towards him. "If I were to offer you a more direct kiss, would you take it as willingly as you did that drink?" He asked.

Ryeowook gulped as he looked away. He was beyond nervous and was wary of any movement Sungmin made towards him. He closed his eyes when Sungmin moved closer.

Sungmin tilted his head when he noted Ryeowook's awaiting lips. He leaned in and gave him a kiss on his forehead, Ryeowook opened his eyes and stared directly into Sungmin's.

He smirked. "Disappointed?"

"N-no." Ryeowook turned away.

"Yes you are."

"Am not!" Ryeowook asserted as he walked away from him, Sungmin laughed and hurried to catch up. When they reached their adjoining apartments, Sungmin was about to push his own key into his lock when he was suddenly pinned against the door and was surprised to find that Ryeowook had done so. Before he could question his actions, he pulled him downwards for a kiss.

Just as quick as it occurred, Ryeowook pulled away. "You see, I can be forceful when I want to." He gulped slightly as he hurried to open his door and rushed inside.

Sungmin was stunned as he slowly realized what just happened, it had completely caught him off-guard. The more he understood, the wider his grin became. His eyes gleamed as he put his key into his doorknob and turned it, happily humming his own tune as he closed the door behind him.
