Under the pressure of his latest photo shoot, one that involved some odd aerobics that he didn’t think was necessary, he took a long needed shower that’s inside the building. He was thankful it was empty and finally turned the knob.

And as he dries his hair with his other towel, he turns around and went wide-eye.

Yesung yelped at Donghae sitting on the bench, legs crossed over with a metal suitcase by his side. Donghae calmly turns to him, wiping his fogged sunglasses.

“You.” Yesung nearly growls.

There he is, dressed in his same black suit and wearing those sunglasses, indoors no less. Donghae acts oblivious to his tone. “It’s pleasant seeing you here, Sir. Now, let’s get straight to business.”

“You couldn’t have waited until after I finished showering?!” Yesung bellowed.

“No, I could not. Sir, matters like these don’t come with appointments you know.”

Yesung narrowed his eyes.

“That and I have already extended courtesy Sir, they were willing to put this off till tomorrow but I made certain this was given to you as soon as possible.”

“Soon could have waited a few more minutes.”

“Sir, I pride myself in my lack of efficiency. I’m not as prone to procrastination as you are, such as delaying an album’s release date three separate times.”

Yesung parted his lips but chose to just stay silent. Donghae put the suitcase on his lap and opened the clasps.

“What is this?” Yesung asks calmer now, making sure his towel was on tight as he walks past the agent. He couldn’t be sure.

Donghae didn’t answer. Yesung slowly turns around and sees Donghae looking in his direction. Despite his sunglasses, he has a good idea of where the man’s eyes were going and remembered who he was dealing with. He grabs another towel and covers his chest until he could find a decent robe.

“Sir, you have some paint on your arm.” The cool-headed man comments.

“Oh, that was from the photo shoot earlier.”

“I’m aware, I was watching. May I suggest another shower? I’m willing to wait.”

“I’m sure you are.” Yesung mumbles and walks to a nearby sink and dabs a spare towel with running water as he cleans it off. “Just tell me what it is.”

Donghae opened the suitcase and it revealed a nicely crafted pin. “This is set as a gift for you to borrow during your appearance at the IMF. They’d be flattered if it can be seen due to its wide audiences once you win your album-”

“I’m not sure I won yet.” Yesung interjects. “I’m against another solo artist, who’s just as good as me.”

Donghae gives a struggled sound that scares the singer a bit. “Please Sir, no need for humor.”

“Hey, he’s good!”

“Sir, he will be absolutely no threat to you.” Donghae declares and closes the suitcase. “Now, I have some documents I need for you to sign.”

“Can I at least change first?” Yesung asks, grabbing a pair of spare clothes.

Donghae blinks, “Is that urgent?”

Yesung bit his cheek and gives a swift, “Yes.” He then hurries inside a changing room and closed the door.

Donghae gives a single knock. “If you’re going to change behind a closed door, I’m going to assume you’re hiding something Sir.”

“I’m protecting myself.”

“From who? Which person is threatening you? Inform me their name and details and I’ll have them dealt with immediately. Is it the anti’s?”

“You’re an anti of mine now, aren’t you? You should be aware.” Yesung says as he rushes to put on his clothes.

The door suddenly opens and Donghae just calmly waits, unfazed as Yesung just finishes putting on his shirt. “Sir, I have indeed tried, but I realized how difficult it was for me. You are rather difficult to loathe.”

“It’s because I’m single isn’t it?”

“That has absolutely nothing to do with it, Sir.” Donghae swiftly replies. “And anyhow, these are insurances in case you somehow lose it or break it. In that case, you will be fined greatly.”

“How much?”

“The exact amount you made for this album.”

Yesung gaped. “I-I’m not even suited for this. Just give it back, I don’t need it.”

“Sir, if you’re worried about whether your looks suit the pin, then a few sunglasses and some make-up could easily mask those flaws of yours. If I may though, please length your bangs and cover your eyes and always display your right profile to the camera. We’d rather the pin was displayed in favorable circumstances.”

Yesung glowered.

He would like to say he had some control over his life. Yesung felt for a while now, that he had none whatsoever. He managed to refuse most offers to that certain country, and yet here he was, at a foreign concert. And who best to represent a fan than the man himself.

“You must admit, Sir, you are a man of many mistakes.”

“My mis- you mean that rumor?” Yesung asks incredulously.

“Sir, clearly, she was not going to bring you happiness.” Donghae says matter-of-factly and follows the flustered singer out of the rooms.

“I’m not looking for my soul mate.” Yesung refutes.

“Haven’t you declared in three separate instances that you’re open to the idea? Sir, I understand there are some discrepancies, but be consistent with your on-screen personality. And Sir, I do not understand why. In sight of your looks and small hands, you are clearly a competent choice.”

Yesung stopped and sharply turned his gaze on him. “Good to know someone out there would have someone like me.”

“If you’re honestly looking for that special someone, then Sir, why not me?” Donghae asks as if it’s the most obvious answer out there.

Yesung looked at him as if horns grew on the agent’s head.

“Let me be as polite as I can possibly be.” Yesung started. “You are clearly not an option.”

“Why not?” Donghae asked, as if he couldn’t realize why he wasn’t a choice.

“I’ll be even clearer, if I ever grew feelings for you, then I’m most likely insane.”

“They do say love is blind-”

“Love isn’t anything!” The rest of the floor staff hears.

The manager gives the singer an odd look the following afternoon. “Are you alright?”

Yesung doesn’t quite hear the question, “I’m fine. Do you think I’ll perform well?”

“There’s always room for improvement, Sir.”

Yesung pretty much guessed this was his worst fan, there was about no other comparison. Donghae arrived with the suitcase. “Now, if we may have a private room.”

“Why? It’s a pin, I don’t need to change-”

“Sir, we must have respect for our country’s fine jewels. Any defiance will result in immediate grounds for expulsion of the country.” And Yesung’s gently tugged without much of a fight, he’s learned there’s no use.

“Leave.” Donghae order the small group inside the dressing room.

“Um, but-”

“I will press charges.” Donghae utters and flashes his ID. There’s little to be said as the others all rushed out and Donghae closes the door, Yesung crossed his arms in a guarded fashion.

“Sir, if I may, compliment on how well-dressed you are this evening.” Donghae comments inside their now empty room and opens his suitcase on a nearby table.

“...You may,” Yesung words cautiously. He glances at the pin, “Isn’t this more suitable for females? It’d be better recognized.”

“It’s a unisex pin, and aside from that, your global presence will be enough to bring attention to our precious valuables.”

“I almost don’t feel worthy.”

“You are, Sir. You definitely are.”

Yesung blinks and shifts his eyes as the pin is put on, “I could do this myself.”

“I must handle all transactions that occur with this.” Donghae states firmly and Yesung gives another doubtful glance. He’s thankful it has no large jewel to distract from and finely distinct.

And after his performance and award, he sees his manager and tells him the same.

“Apparently the agent vehemently fought for you to wear it.”

“Why’s that?”

“He said you were suitable for it, and that it deserved to be worn by a precious individual who’s easy to adore and care for. At least, that’s what he informed me when I asked.”

Yesung blinked when he sees the agent patiently waiting by the same dressing room. He looks down at the pin then groaned loudly.

His manager gave a curious look and asked what was wrong.

Yesung sighed even louder and slaps his own head, “Get me out of here.”

“Why’s that?”

His answer just confuses his manager even more as Yesung replies with forced contempt. “I’m actually insane.”
