Breathless Apologies

[Y][FF] Summary: They're attempting another date, but Ryeowook's way of invoking guilt is becoming a slight issue.

Henry waited by the benches as he hummed a random song when he looked up and recognized a figure running hurriedly towards him.
The figure finally stopped and panted slightly. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I got caught up in class."
"It's fine." Henry gestured, giving a forgiving smile to Ryeowook who smiled shyly in return. "We'll just be walking around either way." Ryeowook nodded as he trailed behind Henry around the boardwalk like place. People were everywhere on each side handing out fliers, Henry, as most people, simply said no and went about his way. He felt a lack of presence and looked behind him to see Ryeowook much farther behind, carrying stacks of papers handed to him.
Henry lowered his eyes. "You don't have to take those."
"I know... I'm sorry." Ryeowook placed the papers in his bag as Henry arched an eyebrow.
"You could just throw those away."
"I know, but I feel guilty." Henry sighed.
"Fine then."
"I'm sorry." Henry bit his cheek, forcing himself not to say anything to that phrase. When they reached towards a cafe, Henry walked inside and paused when once again Ryeowook wasn't beside him. He turned around and watched as Ryeowook continually held the door for massive amounts of people moving through.
When it finally stopped, Ryeowook hurried inside and smile apologetically to him. "You shouldn't always do that." Henry said casually.
"Sorry." Ryeowook replied, slightly crestfallen. Henry exhaled sharply as he led him towards a corner table. Ryeowook looked down at his hands as Henry stared at him, watching his expression. This was definitely not what he had planned for their date, and he felt more regretful as the minutes passed.
He barely glanced at the menu when he said. "You can pick anything."
Ryeowook lowered his head towards the menu, his eyes scanning until he smiled as he pointed at one picture. "This."
Henry arched an eyebrow. "That's a dessert." He noted Ryeowook's discouraged expression.
"You're right, I'll pick something else." Ryeowook picked up the menu this time as Henry resisted the urge to slap himself.
"Stop making me feel guilty!" Henry scolded.
Ryeowook backed away slightly. "Sor-I mean..." He struggled not to say the word out loud."I mean...." He rubbed his temples. "This is hard."
Henry sighed as he gave in. "You can have the sundae, its fine." Ryeowook's smile returned and he beamed as he searched for the waiter. Henry couldn't resist in returning the smile as he watched his rather cute reaction.
After their meal, the sky gradually darkened until bits of sunlight were seen in the distance. They walked alongside the sidewalk when Henry noted that Ryeowook seemed to be preoccupied with something and decided to ask what it was.
"Just... thinking." Ryeowook replied.
"Its good to know I was half right." Henry said sarcastically. "Such a detailed answer, really. Please hold back."
Ryeowook's cheeks flushed, fidgeting with the ends of his jacket. "I made things awkward, didn't I?" He murmured.
Henry felt the guilt resurface. "I was kidding." Henry said, hoping to recover the energetic Ryeowook, but failing miserably.
"I know you were kidding..." Ryeowook stated, he took a deep breath as he stopped in tracks. "We've been on plenty of dates... But we're still just as awkward with each other. Do you think that maybes its because we're just not..." He looked on dejectedly, his confidence dwindling completely as he was unable to finish his sentence.
Henry exhaled as he stood in front of him. "We're slow... too slow I admit." Henry moved the hair away from his eyes. "But I like you," Henry met Ryeowook's eyes. "A lot. And I hope you wouldn't mind if we continue, despite our slow progress." He offered a reassuring smile in return, hoping that any hint of fear that Ryeowook would reject didn't appear in his expression.
Ryeowook suddenly threw his arms around Henry's torso, he froze completely when he realized what he had done. He pulled back and mentally slapped himself. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
Henry closed his eyes as he said through clenched teeth. "Stop apologizing!"
"Sorry." Ryeowook then cringed.
Henry pursed his lips as he dropped his hands. "I give up." Ryeowook pouted slightly, he shuffled his feet as he looked at the ground. "What I don't understand..." Henry started out as Ryeowook continued to focus on the ground. "Is why you felt the need to apologize for hugging me."
Ryeowook looked up and widened his eyes slightly.
"Just so you know," Henry cleared his throat as he shifted his eyes away. "You never have to apologize for that."
Ryeowook brightened up as he bit his lip, in a split moment he made his decision and threw himself onto Henry for a tightly gripped hug. Henry however fell back a bit and hit his head on the wall to which Ryeowook gasped.
"I'm sorry!" Ryeowook was slowly pulling away as he outreached his hand and felt for the potential bump on Henry's head.
Henry sighed. "Ryeowook..."
Ryeowook cringed again. "Sor-"
Henry placed his hand behind Ryeowook's neck and pulled him in for a kiss. Ryeowook had his eyes completely open as Henry pulled away and noted this.
"I admit, that's not exactly what I want to see after we do that." Ryeowook blushed.
"Sorry... I mean, ahh." He whined, his need to apology for making an apology was difficult to stop. "I really am trying, but its a hard to."
"Then this is what we'll do." Henry stated. "Everytime you even say the word sorry, I'll kiss you to stop you."
Ryeowook smiled as his cheeks reddened even more. "I see... but what if I have to say I'm sor-" Henry reached once again to kiss him.
"I was serious." Henry uttered against his lips.
"Sorry." Henry brushed his lips against him again. "Sorry."
"Now you're just doing this on purpose." Henry chuckled as he laid his head on his shoulder and snuggled against it. Ryeowook started to laugh at the contact. "I dare you to say sorry one more time."
"I'm-"
"You would." Henry held him even closer as his lips brushed against his cheeks and returned once more towards his lips.
"This agreement makes me to never want to stop apologizing." Ryeowook said. Henry felt his heart elate at his statement, giving him permission to continue what he most wanted.
"At least close your eyes this time." Henry murmured, their lips still quite close.
"Gladly." Henry chuckled as he pulled Ryeowook for a well-deserved kiss, unwilling to pull away until they both absolutely had to.
Henry looked away. "We should get going." Yet as he made a step to move, Ryeowook kept him firmly in their stance.
"I don't want to."
"Ryeowook." Henry said sternly. Ryeowook shook his head stubbornly, Henry then forcibly dragged him by the shoulders through the sidewalks despite Ryeowook's protests when they finally reached the car. Ryeowook pouted as he roughly put on his seat belt and looked out the window. When they reached their destination, Ryeowook furrowed his eyebrows at the place.
"This isn't my house."
"Obviously." Henry pointed out as he got out along with Ryeowook, both towards Henry's front door.
"You..." Ryeowook watched as Henry placed his key in the door knob. "You weren't ending our date short then."
"With the progress we made, definitely not." Henry said as he the door knob clicked and he opened the door, he smiled as Ryeowook reached for his arm and pulled him inside rather excitedly.
"I'm sorry for doubting you."
Henry shook his head disapprovingly, offering a cunning smile as he pulled his arms towards him. "You're asking for it."
"I am." Ryeowook said cheerfully as he allowed himself to be enveloped in Henry's arms. Meanwhile telling himself to never stop his habit, it was to easy to convince himself as he enjoyed his light-hearted consequences.

This also makes up to Lien, who raged a fist against Siwon for interrupting them in the last fic xD Hope this makes up for it :)
