History repeats itself once again...

I often seem to find a way to alienate those friends that come from some form of recognized organized religion. But then every month of so, I hear something that reminds me why. This month seems to come from the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the Republican party. Governor Palin makes her wonderful comment; the U.S. mission in Iraq was a “task ( Read more... )

Ann and Nancy Wilson Sisters - known as the Seattle Band, HEART.
( The Guitaur Rift for Barracuda, 1970's era tune )

Jackson Browne, and Tom Petty were also mentioned as well.

It was stated, on a commentary on a Yahoo Page - that the same people who tried to silence the musicians for their speech, such as the Dixie Chicks, wanted to have it BOTH WAYS... take the music but shun the rights of the intellectual property of the producer.

Well, it depends on what part of the Bible you are taking your info from. Are you going to choose the "eye for an eye" God? Or the "turn the other cheek" God? Are talking about the same God that would allow your neighbors to stone you to death cuz you fornicate with Roger? The God that punished Eve for eating a freakin apple? an apple!

I am of the firm belief that only Judaism can use the old testiment. Christianity was about christ dying for our sins. And with his death alleviated the sins that our outlined in the old testament. For who so ever believes in me, shall find a place in heaven. But seems that they who believe, seem to inflict so much harm. It is really distressing.

How Very TRUE!!!! But in the words of Rage Against the Machine (where I find my inspiration to both my action and reaction to the current political state) "Fuck You I won't do what you tell me!" On a side note: there are ways to make our disgust know and heard with out throwing things through windows and setting cities a blaze.
