I often seem to find a way to alienate those friends that come from some form of recognized organized religion. But then every month of so, I hear something that reminds me why. This month seems to come from the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the Republican party. Governor Palin makes her wonderful comment; the U.S. mission in Iraq was a “task that is from God.” To me this once again reminds of the "Dark Ages" and the crusades against the Muslims. Can someone please tell me, how is it that these people can continue to say they are in the graces of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. When from the two separate times that I have read the "Holy Bible" have been Christ teaching to love and compassion for one another like you would yourself. He didn't seem to be one going to war with the Romans. He spoke of turning the other cheek. So by all means please explain it to me, for I'm just not getting it. These are by far the same hypocrites that seem to get busted for doing something scandalous. But who cares, they are the righteous leaders that know what I should and should not do. Wake up people and take a buck and go buy a damn clue. Do I ever hate politics and politicians.
PS. and this is the one they want to be President. *rolls eyes*
