i agree with you. in a lot of these really tragic cases, i notice that the parents are letting their children do things that i would never let jack do (like the case of the 4 year old that was hit by a police car when he was riding his bike across a street at night) why the hell was their four year old out crossing busy streets on a bike at night unsupervised?! yea it's sad but is it the cop's fault that this kid came out of no where? not that the parent's should shoulder all the blame by any means but i think some parents dont think. i would never let jack walk alone. when we were young it was different, it was safer. now it's just not safe.
