Hope you don't mind me commenting re: what is under the cut.
I have IBS and my gp is always telling me to have more bran and fruit and vegetables, and I keep telling her that it doesn't work and I still get constipated. Your post has reminded me that I'm supposed to be drinking above the recommended amount of water because the lithium dries me up.
I found that I needed to go for a jog yesterday morning to get things going. (Exercise bike seems to work too.) I only jogged for three quarters of a mile before I could feel the magic working :-) (I know that's something that wouldn't always/often be appropriate for you, but it may be an option from time to time.)
